Eka Prompt Privacy Policy

Thank you for using Eka Prompt ("the Application").

Eka Prompt is designed as a local-first reusable prompt assistant where your prompt content stays on your device by default. This privacy policy explains how your information is handled.

1. Overview

  • Prompts and templates are stored locally.
  • API keys are stored locally and encrypted.
  • No data is uploaded or shared unless you explicitly enable integrations.
  • Optional diagnostics may be collected only if the user opts-in.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information Stored Locally

  • Prompts, prompt templates, workspaces, history
  • Tags and organization metadata
  • Encrypted API keys for external AI services

Note: Local storage means your content does not leave your device unless you choose to send it to external AI providers.

2.2 Optional Data (Opt‑in)

If you enable diagnostics:

  • Anonymous crash logs
  • Anonymous feature usage metrics

Diagnostic data never contains:

  • Prompt content
  • Personal identifying information
  • API keys

3. External AI Providers

If you use Eka Prompt with external AI services:

  • Your prompts are sent directly to the chosen provider.
  • Eka Prompt does not store transmitted prompts beyond your local device.
  • The provider's respective privacy policy applies.

Eka Prompt currently supports external models such as:

  • OpenAI
  • Google Gemini
  • Groq

You are responsible for reviewing their policies before usage.

4. Data Security

  • API keys are encrypted using machine‑bound key material.
  • Prompt content is not transmitted or synced by default.
  • Local data can be removed at any time through application settings.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

You may:

  • Delete prompts and templates manually
  • Clear encrypted API keys
  • Remove usage logs
  • Uninstall the application to remove all local storage

Eka Prompt never retains your data after uninstallation.

6. Children's Privacy

Eka Prompt is not intended for use by individuals under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

7. Policy Changes

This policy may change when new features are released. Changes will be noted within documentation or the application itself.

Continued use of the Application indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
